Mr. Joe Hart, III is a Principal at Johnson & Pace and serves as a Project Manager with responsibilities in the area of large commercial and retail development as well as land planning for residential and commercial subdivisions. Mr. Hart is a registered Professional Engineer in the states of Texas, Arkansas, Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Louisiana, Maryland, Missouri, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Utah and Virginia. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Texas Tech University in 1997.

Mr. Hart joined Johnson & Pace in January 1998 as a design engineer-in-training. During this time he has acquired valuable knowledge and experience in a broad range of civil engineering areas. His expertise encompasses roadways, storm water drainage and detention, sanitary sewer collection, water distribution, residential subdivisions, commercial and retail site planning and design, and construction administration. His engineering design emphasis is primarily on land development, and he has worked with projects ranging from private residential subdivisions to large commercial and retail sites. He has extensive knowledge and experience in hydrology and hydraulics and is skilled in the delineation of floodplains and floodways, as well as the design of recreational ponds and lakes. Mr. Hart has also designed numerous structural foundations for buildings, signs, and communication towers, both guyed and self-supporting.

Mr. Hart has a strong working knowledge of federal, state and local permits and regulations as they relate to land development projects. Mr. Hart's previous work experience with the Texas Department of Transportation and land surveying has provided him with "hands on" experience in roadway and land development construction.

Mr. Hart currently manages several engineers and technicians, overseeing numerous projects in all types of land development. One of the team's largest clients, Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., relies on the team for the design of new supercenter stores in Texas. Local developers, restaurants and retail stores also rely on Mr. Hart for their engineering needs. From schematic layouts to final construction plans, he has managed a wide variety of projects and understands what is required to bring a design from its initial concept to final completion.

Mr. Hart also recently completed the required testing to become a Texas Surveyor-in-Training (S.I.T.), and is undergoing his required internship to become a Professional Land Surveyor.
