Community Involvement

When Delcine took over as President and Operations Manager in September of 2004 she put in place several fundraisers and drives to benefit our community. Johnson & Pace has sponsored many events since that time including food drives, fundraisers for area charities and sponsorships.

In 2007 Johnson & Pace began participating in the Junior Achievement Bowl-a-Thon and raised over $900 to benefit Junior Achievement. The company has participated each year since then as well. The company also sponsored a team at Longview's Relay for Life benefiting the American Cancer Society. For fundraisers Johnson & Pace put together a cookbook with the employees' favorite recipes and sold the cookbooks throughout the community. Johnson & Pace's Relay Team won the "Team of the Year" award for the 2007 Longview Relay, raising over $7,000! And together in 2008 and 2009, the Relay team raised over $10,000!

Each year in November, the office has a Food Drive "War" between the departments and raises a truck load of food and toiletry items to benefit the local Hi-Way 80 Mission. The Hi-Way 80 Mission is a local shelter that feeds, clothes and ministers to those in the local community in need. During December Johnson & Pace sponsors several angels from the Salvation Army Angel Tree or chooses a family close to the company and purchases Christmas gifts for the children.

Other charities, foundations and organizations Johnson & Pace has chosen to support in the past includes local little league sports teams; the Lion's Club Thanksgiving and Christmas Food Basket Drive; the local schools' academic, athletic, FFA/4-H and foreign exchange programs; Annual Buckner's Children & Family Services Fundraiser; and individual participation in both the PRCA and Josey Reunion Barrell Race. There are several local organizations in the Longview area that Johnson & Pace supports including the Hi-Way 80 Mission, Ambucs, The Angel Network, SPC, The Green Street Mission, Police Officer's Association and the Oncology Nursing Scholarship.

Johnson & Pace's staff is also very involved in the community. Johnson & Pace adopted Kids View Park in Longview in 2007 and the employees volunteer several times a year to keep the park picked up. Our Staff Architect, Doug Camp, is involved in the Civil Air Patrol, US Air Force Auxiliary. Wade Johnson and Charles Thomson coach a little league football team. Charles Thomson is also a high school football official (members of TASO). Angela Dean is a volunteerfor Junior Achievement and serves on the Longview Relay for Life Committee and the Keep Longview Beautiful Public Relations Committee. These and many others are involved in our community and strive to make it a better place for everyone that lives here. Johnson & Pace takes great pride in knowing they are helping others and thanks to each individual involved, we know a difference can be made.
