Mr. Thomson graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1996 and began his career in Mechanical Engineering in Ft. Worth. Mr. Thomson is a Professional Engineer, licensed in the states of Texas, Arizona, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Missouri, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio and Utah. His expertise includes HVAC design, chilled/heated water systems, chillers and boilers, industrial ventilation, DDC systems, etc.
Mr. Thomson began his internship at Carter and Burgess and was responsible for design calculations, system design and layouts, code reviews, and writing technical specifications. Mr. Thomson worked the next 5 years at Freese & Nichols and served as Project Manager and Design Engineer. Mr. Thomson was responsible for design calculations, overseeing system designs, coordination with governmental agencies, estimating construction costs, and overseeing installation and construction.
Mr. Thomson also served as Plant Operations Manager at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview where he supervised maintenance personnel, designed and supervised installation and construction of new systems, and was responsible for maintaining and modifying hospital systems. Mr. Thomson also served as Project Manager at Polk Mechanical, where he was responsible for the installation and construction of HVAC and Plumbing Systems.
Mr. Thomson has served as Lead Mechanical (HVAC & Plumbing) Engineer on many different projects for such clients as the University of Texas at Arlington, Central Texas College, Arlington Convention Center and the City of Fort Worth. He has worked on commercial, industrial, educational and municipal projects as well as projects for the U.S. Military including the Fort Polk Military Installation, USACE White Sands Missile Range, and the Naval Air Station in Corpus Christi.
Mr. Thomson joined Johnson & Pace at the beginning of 2005 as our Mechanical Engineer. He serves as Project Manager on several projects, predominantly our light industrial projects, for clients including TEC Well Service and Frac Tech.
